Sin embargo, la podrás ver en sus posts junto a sus amigos, en el estudio grabando y apoyando causas solidarias. A @lilmiquela la siguen 546.000 personas y sumando y parece que el pequeño detalle de que no exista en carne y hueso poco importa a sus fans. De hecho, su primer single, Not Mine, alcanzó el puesto 8 el pasado agosto en Spotyfy viral.

Poco se sabe de quienes han dado forma a Miquela, aunque sí se han encargado de darle una poderosa personalidad: «Me gustaría ser descrita como una artista o cantante o algo que denote mi arte más que poner el foco en las cualidades superficiales de quién soy», comentaba a través de un chat en una reciente entrevista al portal Business of Fashion.

Hi angels, Wow- it feels like it’s been forever since I posted a diary entry! I know I said I was gonna write every week and share with you, but I was going through a lot last week – I couldn’t find time to write it all down. It’s cool because Alex models and Noah is a musician, so we’re all super creative and just always try to inspire each other. The vibe can get weird though, since they’ve actually been best friends for a few years. It does get awkward when they talk about things that I missed or people that I haven’t met. But Alex tries fills me in on the stuff I don’t get so we still make it work. She’s become kind of like a sister to me! I don’t have any siblings so this kind of friendship means a lot. . Lately, Alex and I have been talking a lot about love (which is always on the brain!) I keep trying to channel my emotions into songwriting but so far nothing has felt good and real yet. I’m in this weird situation with a guy now where I’m wondering… “What are we?” Like I’ve been trying to dissect the signs and figure out what everything means and honestly it’s making me feel crazy. Alex keeps telling me I gotta be a boss bitch and just ask him. Or tell him how I feel. I know I’m the best and any guy would be lucky to call me his girlfriend, but it’s still kind of scary to be vulnerable like that. Does anyone have advice? Would love to hear your stories about making the first move!

Sousa es un nuevo nombre a añadir a la lista de celebrities virtuales que tanto gustan a la industria. En 2013, Marc Jacobs vistió de Louis Vuitton a Hatsune Miku, una cantante virtual japonesa que colaboró con Lady Gaga y Pharrel. Ricardo Tisci fue otro de los que la vistió durante su periodo en Givenchy. Y para darle forma a la campaña de primavera verano 2016, LV eligió a Lightning, un personaje del video juego Final Fantasy.

Miquela ya ha debutado en publicaciones como Paper y ha colaborado con la firma neoyorkina Area. Ser humano ya no es un requisito para gustar a las masas.
